Alessandro Coppola was born in Sicily in 1982. Since his childhood, he has had a natural inclination towards the graphic arts and an overwhelming passion for animated cartoons and fairy tales books.
After many years of artistic training in public schools, a specialized master’s in Graphic Designer and many different work experiences, he decided to devote himself to illustration art. He then joined the Associazione Nazionale Italiana di Illustratori (Italian National Association of Illustrators).
He took part in international competitions of illustration art (organized by the Fondazione Malagutti Onlus, a network for the safeguard of children’s rights) called Diritti a Colori. He published his first two works in the catalog “We are the Future”, published by Red Publishing.
He has published some illustrated books in Italy, including “Gufilastrocche” published by Edizioni la Toletta and “Bianca e il Rubasogni” published by Di Marsico Libri, and collaborates with communication agencies.
His motto is: “The illustrated book is the first art gallery that a child visits.”
