At this past weekend’s SOFA CHICAGO, first time exhibitors Officine Saffi were very excited to learn that they had been awarded the LongHouse Reserve Special Recognition Award for best Artwork for Arnold Annen’s bowls made from Limoges porcelain. Annen’s pieces were part of an exhibit titled Whiteness, exemplifying the pureness and simplicity of the color white, presented by the Milan-based gallery and workshop. Other artwork included theatrical vessels by Guido De Zan, porcelain jewelry by Luca Tripaldi, and white ceramic vessels by Lucie Rie spanning the late artist’s career.
Officine Saffi also publishes La Ceramica in Italia e nel Mondo, a bilingual (Italian and English), quarterly magazine dedicated to the art of ceramics. For more information, please visit www.officinesaffi.com.
