Italians listen to more and more audio books: Umberto Eco, JK Rowling and Elena Ferrante are among the favorites on Audible.

The audiobook audience in Italy continues to grow: according to a NielsenIQ research commissioned by Audible, Amazon’s audio content platform, there are 10 million audiobook users in Italy , up 11% compared to the 9 million registered in October, 2022 (according to estimates by the study center of AIE, in October the «digital» readers, of audio books but also of e-books, were 8.8 million). It should be noted that the target polling audience of the research commissioned by Audible is not the entire Italian customer universe, but those listeners 18 and older and in possession of a credit cards and / or Paypal and other digital payment tools. All interviews were made with CAWI methodology (i.e. via the Internet).
