It’s opening day at the Bologna Children’s Book Fair! More than 1,500 exhibitors have come to Bologna, from over 90 countries and regions. The rich programme comprises more than 600 events, organised by BCBF and its exhibitors plus many initiatives in the city.

The Exhibitions
There is something for every taste on show: from the ever-present Illustrators Exhibition, to the new Chinese Excellence, from the BRAW Amazing Bookshelf to the exhibition of ecology-themed children’s books, passing through the Original Art of the Society of Illustrators of New York, Talking Pictures at BBPlus, Silent Book Contest and the illustration exhibition of the Slovenia-Honoured Guest. Addionally there is the personal exhibitions of Paloma Valdivia, Andrea Antinori and Mauro Evengelista. BBPlus
Don’t miss all that’s on offer at BolognaBookPlus (Hall 29 – Mall 1), the area dedicated to general trade publishing. This year BBPlus presents a larger Italian collective stand curated by AIE – Associazione Italiana Editori, as well as the special India in the Limelight programme in partnership with the India National Book Trust. The 2024 seminar programme is packed with topical debate.
