This book gives an overall description of the city of Cagliari in Sardinia, its hills, coastline, wetlands and flatlands, as well as the city itself.

The idea behind the book was to highlight the most important aspects of the Cagliari landscape by focusing on the phenomena that have been responsible for the present day configuration, and by providing a series of photographs, drawings and maps in order to make for clearer understanding

The book illustrates how the city territory presents a number of different and often unexpected faces including many sites of exceptional natural beauty and interest.
