Bruno Volpe, tries his hand at art and in particular with the fascinating world of Russian-Byzantine icons. It is both a theological and artistic reading of the icons which, upon closer inspection, are not mere works of art in the Western sense of the word, but instruments of evangelization. The text talks about the techniques, the materials used, the most famous icons and above all by Rublëv, a Russian Orthodox monk who died in holiness and poverty who can rightly be considered the greatest and most famous iconographer in history with his Trinity, the image that is on the cover. There are thirteen chapters in the book, including a prologue by Professor Antonio Calisi.
