Pantani Was a God

The life of the last great Italian cyclist is reconstructed with no verdict or judgement, across the mountains which made him famous, in the Romagna region where he grew up, Cesenatico, the town where it all started, and Rimini where it all ended. We hear the voices of his ancestors, the strange race he belonged to, even though he came from a sea town: a race of climbers. The voices, many – similar to a Greek chorus –, the friends who never abandoned him, the sporting directors, the mechanics, and his domestiques, ready to sacrifice everything for their leader. A story written by «one hundred story tellers who narrate the deeds of a hero, of a bandit, of a pirate».
