In 1816, order is restored in Europe after the defeat of Napoleon. On the throne of the Kingdom of Naples and Sicily sits again the old Bourbon King Ferdinand IV, who was crowned King of the Two Sicilies uniting the two crowns under the name of Ferdinand I. It is recounted in this work, the story of a kingdom that has no historical position in traditional history textbooks. A kingdom ruled by monarchs who sometimes were not of great statesmen but with the figure of Ferdinand II succeeded to grant these lands a glimmer of progress. We note, in the pages of the book, a section of Naples pleasant, the great and uninhibited European capital, the lively art and culture of the Kingdom, as well as for the health of which is discussed extensively. The advent of the cyclone red (Garibaldi) dismantled these realities as a result of subterfuge and shadowy coalitions and then bring the former Kingdom, from 1861 to 1871, in a devastating situation or “brigand or migrant.”
