Ancient superstition, grotesque contingency related to ignorance and social fear, collective hysteria, rooted misogyny… Various interpretations attempt to explain the phenomenon of witchcraft. An historical abomination that is easily relegated to a remote past, away from rational world, tolerant pattern of contemporary life. But what if witches still exist? In the abandoned cemetery of Burncreek, a town in Maryland in the United States, survives an ancient graveyard of the seventeenth century. And here Jenny’s body is discovered. On the chest a symbol branded with fire foreboding impiety. Here the dense haze of mystery invading the sky of normality under which contemporary society wants to protect the peace.
