The closed sea (Il mare chiuso)

by Alessandro Di Sorbo and Alessio Di Simone

This story recounts a recollection of the author: when he was a child, he didn’t feel nostalgic about the sea, as he could see it even from the window of his school. One day, a small whale becomes stranded while distracted by a mermaid singing. While some try to help it get back to the sea, it doesn’t manage to do so. Now the whale is in a museum and he sometimes misses the sea.

Libri da Parati ® (Wall books), registered trademark and design, are a combination of illustrated albums and art posters, printed on 100 x 70 cm typographic paper.

By unfolding the pages, you can follow the story until the last figure is unveiled: a poster to be framed and hung on the wall.

The folded sheet of paper is held in a die-cut and illustrated folder functioning as cover.
