The Conservatorio “Luigi Cherubini” Collection: Stringed Instruments Part II

In 1996 the Conservatorio “Luigi Cherubini” first loaned some of the extraordinary instruments that are part of its collection to the Galleria dell’Accademia to create a section of the museum dedicated to the history of music. Together, they devised the memorable exhibition of Italian Baroque musical instruments, Marvels of Sound and Beauty. The publication of this second volume on plucked stringed and keyboard instruments, edited by Giovanni Paolo Di Stefano and Gabriele Rossi Rognoni with their customary competence and skill, is yet another step in the department’s growth and proof of its extraordinary vitality.
