The Golden Horses Volume published by D’ORO Collection in 2015 is a tribute to the equestrian world and explores the relationship between these wonderful animals and man on account of poems and legends.
If there is an animal that has always embodied a close relationship between mankind and nature, an almost mystical and ancestral symbiosis, that animal is certainly the horse. Even in prehistoric times primitive people drew stylized signs representing horses on the walls of caves. Over the years, these animals have always been protagonists in history and literature, close to the pens of great writers and the deeds of emperors and kings. That is how the idea of dedicating a Volume to the horse and its relationship with mankind throughout history came about.
The Golden Horses Volume published by D’ORO Collection is entirely handmade using artisan paper with 220 gram thickness. Each page is stitched by master craftsmen using wooden frames of the type used in the Middle Ages. The covers of The Golden Horses are made of red leather lined with silk where gilded galloping horse figures are impressed. Two bronze reliefs, gilded by immersion into a 24 Kt gold bath, form the front and back covers.
