Inka culture is fashionable today, but little recognized. Among the many mysteries still unsolved, some of which will perhaps never be resolved, one is that of writing. Much has been written about whether the quipu (or rather khipu), the knots of which only a few dozen examples remain in the world, were a kind of abacus, or not actual writing. Apart from the fact that there are khipu with a calculator function and which are called yupana, in this book we want to demonstrate, in a fictionalized form, how the writing khipu worked. It is thought that there were many khipus handed down and preserved by the Incas, but they were destroyed by zealous friars who considered them 'the work of the devil'.
