The vain fires

Residence La Riserva. August, two thousand something. A fascinating entertainer with an unmentionable secret, a movie director suspended between fiction and reality, a fourteen year old who hates and rebels against her mother, a lifeguard with a stubborn expression. Ricardo, Andrea, Marta, Lia, Carlos… their lives will come together in the course of one day, from dawn to dusk, each will be for one moment the protagonist of the life of another person, while, tired by the heat, drugs and by fantasies which melt and mingle with reality, they pass each other in a dark lavatory or on a dance floor, to the rhythm of Latin-American music. Until dusk, when they will all go back to not knowing one another.
