Fabrizio Capigatti was born in Venezia in 1976, where he still lives and works. As a writer and screenwriter for comics and fiction, he built up his knowledge studying screenwriting at “Bottega Finzioni” with teachers like Marco Manetti (Manetti Bros), Marcello Fois, Wilma Labate, Michele Cogo, and perfected it in workshops with Andrea Segre and Doriana Leondeff.

In 1999 he created the Role-playing Game “Venetia Obscura”, in 2001 its expansion “Venetia Obscura – Espansione Laguna”, and in 2005 “Charme – the first erotic RPG in a future setting”.

In 2006 he took the first steps in the world of comics, creating the “Capitan Venezia” character, and publishing “Il folle volo” (Edizioni del Vento) in 2008, historical comic which narrates the life and times of Gabriele D’Annunzio.
In 2012 he released “Vola mio angelo, volta” (Bottero editore) and wrote the new “Capitan Venezia”, “La Lupa” and “Capitan Palermo” in collaboration with “Scuola del Fumetto di Palermo”.

Between 2013 and 2015 he wrote three episodes for Manetti Bros, notably the pilot episode for web-series “Macabrus”, from a subject by Manetti Bros themselves.

In 2014 his “Kocis” animated series project reached the “Cartoon on the Bay” final.
In 2016 he wrote for Noise Press “Try to set the night on fire”, on “Dead Blood”.
In 2017 he created and published online “7”, webcomic illustrated by Martina Fari (www.7webcomic.com).
In 2018 he founded the label “Capitani Italiani” for VeneziaComix Editore, in which he is chief editor, and he worked on the new “BoobsHells”, “Capitan Napoli” and “Capitan Milano”, not to mention the pilot for a series set in the “Capitani Italiani” universe.

In 2018, he wrote “47 Ronin Manga”, a comic book adaptation of the famous Japanese opera Chushingura in cooperation with Ca’ Foscari University of Venice and Kyoto International Manga Museum, illustrated by Emanuele Tenderini. The adaptation was the subject of a showing in “MAO – Museo d’Arte Orientale di Torino”, which focused on its characters.
“Into the net” is also due in 2018, on “Tatai Lab”.

Again for “Tatai Lab” he is writing “Manitou” and a yet unannounced project, both due in 2019, and “Yume”, whose release date is unannounced.
