CiaoItaly opened in Turin in 2008 as a language school specializing in teaching the Italian language and culture to foreigners.

The school is an authorized assessment centre for the Firenze examinations, run by Accademia Italiana di Lingua (AIL) and for the CILS examinations, run by Siena University for Foreigners. Since 2012, the school has been running a Master in Teaching Italian as a Foreign Language and as a Second Language and has been one of the centres authorised by Siena University for Foreigners to deliver preparatory courses for the DITALS examinations.

The school’s decision to work with only small groups ensures that each participant has the opportunity to develop and improve his/her linguistic skills. Access to each course therefore requires an entrance exam in order to form classes of a suitable level for all participants.
