A Door to Italy is a school located in the city of Genova, on the north west cost of Italy overlooking the Mar Ligure Gulf. The courses take place in a splendid nineteenth-century building, and is equipped with every comfort, such as internet point, coffee lounge and reading room, snacks and drinks machine corner, books and films rental service, specific facilities for disability and air conditioning.
The school, founded in 2002, provides great courses of Italian language as well as the most exciting and authentic experience of Italian culture, through high quality service and a wide choice of accommodation. The school specifically offers the following courses:

Italian language classes
• Individual and/or group courses of Italian language and culture
• Training for language proficiency certifications (The school is a CELI exam center)
• Courses and workshops for European Parliament interpreters
• Italian language courses for specific purposes
• Workshops and training on language and methodology for teachers of Italian as a second and foreign language

Italian culture courses/experiences
• Courses designed to explore various Italian aspects of cooking, photography, art and opera as well as of exciting diving experience
• Walking tours of the town as well as weekend natural excursions to Cinque Terre and Portofino

Short-term all inclusive program
• Courses and cultural experiences specifically designed for seniors and for families with children, which include: language classes, cultural events, social activities, excursions and accommodations

Courses fees
Our fees are comprehensive of the following material and invoice: Welcome kit (school bag with informational material), free internet access, choice of a free extra-curricular activity, student accident insurance within the school premises, teaching/learning material (grammar book + daily handouts),oral + written proficiency test prior to the enrollment, individual tutoring and final certificate
