If, as Susan Sontag states, “translation is the circulatory system of the world’s literatures”, translators and translators deserve the credit for introducing the lifeblood into this system, allowing it to constantly regenerate and branch out. With this viewpoint, the “From Italian to the World” translators conference, an initiative of the Turin International Book Fair, returns this fall to promote and support foreign translators who give voice to Italian literature abroad.
