Representatives of Publishers Weekly and the Combined Book Exhibit recently signed an agreement to promote “cooperation and understanding” between the U.S. and Cuban publishing industries.
The agreement supports a continuing American exhibition presence at the Havana Book Fair, and will hopefully result in the Cuban publishers coming to BookExpo America 2016, held in Chicago this May. The pact also emphasizes the importance of continuing to organize panels and educational programs.
