This year’s Piu’ Libri Piu’ Liberi (PLPL) set the record with over 115,000 attendees between public and professional visitors over the four-day event. PLPL, organized by the Association of Italian Publishers (AIE) was held at the Nuvola convention center in Rome. With both Italian and international presence, the fair had 600 exhibitors — all small-to-medium sized Italian publishers.
Lorenzo Armando, president of the AIE Small Publishers Group, emphasized that the Fair “was a great opportunity to meet with our readers, but also for operators to compare notes. Perhaps never before as this year did the 26 meetings at the Business Center see the active participation of entrepreneurs and professionals driven by passion and the desire to explore new avenues, and at the same time aware that the objectively complex and fragile context requires higher managerial skills and a systemic vision.”
