Free Comic Book Day postponed to Summer

The Free Comics Book Day (FCBD), which usually takes place on the first Saturday of May, will be celebrated over the summer. Diamond Comics Distributions made this difficult decision at the end of March in order to fight the impact and spread of COVID-19 in the US.

The FCBD is a huge 24 hours event in the comic book industry, during which comic books stores and graphic novel specialty shops in the United State and around the world give away comic books for free to any readers who enters a comic book store in their community.

The FCBD was founded with goal of supporting the business of local comic shops while attracting new readers, since comics stores are the pivotal point of the comic community and the main gathering place for fans and comics lovers.
