The GIUSEPPE MAIMONE publishing house was established in Catania in 1985. Today its catalogue boasts more than 200 volumes with a clearly recognizable external image based on an original graphic project. Our main interest is in Sicilian reality, within a broader European context.
Our catalogue includes works on the historical and anthropological fields, on the rich Sicilian literature from the last two centuries, on the history of cinema and music, on tourism, photography, urban planning/architecture and art.
In addition, the catalogue presents important titles of European culture from the XVII and XVIII centuries.
Our books are distinguished by originality of iconographic contributions, easiness of reading and scientific quality of their contents.
Some special volumes are dedicated to the great figures of Sicilian culture: Giovanni Verga, Vincenzo Bellini, Luigi Pirandello. Full of suggestion and spectacular images are the books dedicated to Mt. Etna, the highest active volcano in Europe.
